Roianne Hart
Roianne Hart was born in Long Beach, California. She attended UCLA and then Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Her watercolors are being added to collections throughout the U.S. She also has had many exhibits, beginning in 1968.
A quote from Roianne: “Painting is the ultimate challenge and reward. I have been fortunate to live in some wonderful and picturesque places, such as Iran and Canada, but there is nothing that compares to the force and intensity of the California coast. Interpreting this incredible landscape is a lifetime journey. I have always been interested in drawing and painting the figure, but, since moving to the Monterey Peninsula, the landscape has become an additional riveting focus.”
The prevalent artistic cultural climate of Carmel includes the jazz world, which is depicted in many of Roianne’s figurative works.
