Barry John Raybould
Barry John Raybould, M. A., is an award winning professional artist who works primarily in oils. HIs work is a contemporary fusion of impressionistic and expressionistic styles that integrate color, design, and brushwork to convey a strong sense of mood and feeling. Originally from England, He lived in the U.S. for many years and was one of the group of artists known as the
"Informalists," and an artist member of the prestigious California Art Club,
one of the oldest professional artist organizations in the U.S.
His work has been exhibited in several museums in the U.S., including the Monterey Museum of Art and the Pasadera Museum of California Artists, and is also held in many private collections worldwide. He is the author of regular columns for the International Artist and Plain Air magazines.
He currently spends his time in studios in Beijing and Tuscany, or on plein air painting expeditions around the world. He runs a painting workshop in Tuscany once a year in September in his studio in Tuscany, Italy and is the author of a four-year structured course in painting called the Virtual Art Academy.
